Coenraad is a seasoned specialist with 17 years’ experience. Leading projects has enabled Coenraad to develop exceptional knowledge of complex investigations (Civil and Criminal), data analytics, auditing, claims assessment, loss adjustment and cyber forensics. Liaising with various clients has provided him with excellent people skills, management and communication skills. Coenraad joined Godfreys in March 2022.

In South Africa, Coenraad worked in criminal investigations and received training in anti-money laundering and terrorist financing. Whilst gaining experience in commercial and domestic insurance, Coenraad developed a specialty in Cyber Forensics, Cyber Incident Response, and Fraud Examinations, which included advanced computer forensics, cyber incident response specialisation, ethical hacking, python programming language, forensic computer examinations, social engineering, advance penetration testing, and cyber security threats.  In 2015, Coenraad launched a venture to assist individuals, organisations, and schools with cyber-related incident response, eDiscovery, and cyber threats; and was subsequently a member of a working group which developed a cyber insurance product for the South African market.

Coenraad emigrated to New Zealand in 2019, taking up a role with the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) to assist farmers with complex compensation claims. In addition, part of his responsibility was to take ownership for end-to-end complex compensation claims through the claims assessment process and write Ministerial Briefings for Ministers

This includes stock destruction, losses in income, sales, interest, beef production, repopulation and grazing. Smaller Biosecurity responses such as Fruit fly and NZ Import Health Standards. Loss range $1,000.00 – $2 million.

Commercial Property Claims
Restaurants, offices, warehouses, and retail outlets. Loses up to $100,000.00.

Domestic and Vehicle Claims
Including contents, buildings, and watercraft. Loss range $1,000.00 – $2 million.
