Our History

Back in 1999, a team of like-minded loss adjusters set out to create a company the insurance industry could count on.

Like many homegrown Kiwi companies, our history is founded on hard work, a strong shared values base, collaboration, and a desire to add value to the relationships our clients hold with their customers and valued industry partners.

Our team has collectively spent many years advising insurance companies, Lloyd’s underwriters, insurance brokers, consultants, and self-insured organisations. We have established a reputation for its professionalism and excellence in a number of specialist areas – particularly with complex, technical, or high value issues.

Over the past two decades, our in-depth loss adjusting knowledge and experience has seen the Godfreys’ team appointed to handle many of New Zealand’s and the South Pacific’s largest losses. We pride ourselves on being approachable and easy-to-work with, whilst providing expert, technical advice. We continue to offer our clients innovative solutions to settling and resolving high value, complex insurance claims and commercial disputes.

From small beginnings, the Godfreys’ team has grown to a strong, nationwide network based in eight major towns and cities around the country. And, we’re still growing. As the size of our team increases, our people continue to collaborate to take advantage of their diverse skills and strengths. This enables to provide our clients with the resources and expertise to deliver comprehensive, efficient resolution of multi-faceted losses and assignments.
